Hi, we are picking our puppy up next week, he has been weaned onto Burns. I am having trouble finding a local stockist of this food can anyone recommend an alternative? Do they really benefit from the holistic approach or is the normal run of the mill food as good ie pedigree/bakers/walfcol. I want whats best for my baby!

Donna - you can buy Burns food direct from the company and have it delivered to your door. They will also give you a list of shops/vets or who ever that stock Burns food. Put"Burns" in a search engine and hopefully you will find their site. I think they will also send you a free sample and a money off voucher for the first bag you purchase.
You would be best to stick to Burns to start with and change over to another food if that is what you want to do gradually. Your puppies breeder might well give you some Burns to start your pup off with.
What breed of pup are you getting?
What you feed your dog is a careful balance of what suits them and also yourself (eg. some foods upset certain dogs tums, plus some people believe in feeding raw food but not everybody can stand preparing raw meat).
Hope this helps.
