I am going to start putting my BC into breed shows i already have a leather slip lead that i got fron a stand at Dicover dogs and wondered if this was ok.

I don't show BCs, but most people use a fine chain & a thinner than normal lead to show with. You don't want something that spoils the line of your dog's neck, preferably something that will disappear into his coat.
