hi all, molly has had several problems since her season,flaking skin,baldness,depression,phantom,sickness,not eating,eye infections could go on and on, went to vets two weeks ago he gave drops for eyes,and two weeks of antiboiotics,she hasnt got any better shes only got worse her skin is now going a pink colour and her eyes are very dry and look sore from scratching (she has made them bleed and her head)we are back to see the vet tom but wandered if anyone has any ideas her season finished beging of november and since then its been antibiotics, creams and injections, surely its not good for her all these tablets she is 11 months old (sbt) x x

It sounds like her immune system is very compromised.  I would seriiously look at diet and feed something that is as preservative etc free as possible such as Burns dry or Naturediet wet. I would also add 1000mg of Fish Body Oil (Not Cod Liver oil) to her diet a day along with 200 iu of Vitamin E which will help skin problems and depression.  Also make sure that after the antibiotics that she gets probiotics either via live yoghurt, special ones at pet stores or acidophilus tablets from the health store.  Evening Primrose Oil can be very helpful during phantoms but I would not keep her on it for ever.

Is she having Vitamin C?  You can feed that to bowel tolerance ie reduce when it causes diarrhoea.

hi, thanks for your reply,went back to vets tonight he has sugested that molly goes to the animal hospital in new market to under go some tests, he is sure it is to do with her hormones from when she was in season x
