Anyone else see the article in yesterdays "Mail" on the liger hybrids in a Korean wildlife park?  I was fascinated that they existed.  Have read briefly about them in the past, but always as the resul of Ai or similar.  these are the results of natural matings between a Lion and a Tigress.  Apparently they have been a couple for years, and now have a total of 17 offspring of various ages.  Most amazing thing is the size of the "Ligers".  According to the article a male lion mated to a female tiger producers ligers with gigantism - can weigh up to 86 St.  Can you imagine it!!!!!  Approx 12ft tall when upright!

You've beaten me to it!  I was going to start a thread on this too.   It was the devotion between the lion & the tigress that got to me.   Absolutely lovely and it brightened up a dull morning at work!
