Have any of you who live in Northants found suitable safe places for doggy swimming activity? Thanks.
Cathy.

Some years ago an old westie (now gone) of mine accidently went for a swim at Pitsford. He saw the ducks, chased the ducks, swam after the ducks, then turned for the bank. When he eventually got out he was no longer white, but a very oily black. It took ages to get it from his coat. Fairy Liquid did the trick in the end! Don't know what it's like at Pitsford these days as my present dogs are not swimmers!.

Are you too far away from Milton Keynes. Theres hardly a place I can walk my dogs without them finding somewhere to swim.

Charanda, I live in good old Bletchley! What dog/s have you got? I have 2 newfies and a springer.
I have a 2 year old boxer dog called Glazby, he's enough to keep us occupied at the moment though eventually we will look at getting him a playmate!! Newfies are gorgeous, our next door neighbour has one though unfortunately and most frustratingly for Glazby he's not very friendly!!

There is a water training class at Husbands Bosworth, from Northampton you go on the A5199 at takes you straight to Husband Bosworth, If you contact the Northern Newfoundland Club they will be able to give you more information
