My friend owns 2 and shows them they are both dogs and one was imported from norway. Why are you interested in the breed?
They are a very nice dog though not my type of breed and are about collie size and can make a hell of a lot of noise

My friend owns one also and shows it.... not my type of dog either..... prefer something a little more ''flashy'' :D
We keep trying to get her to change breeds but to no avail, she loves her Toller :D Have to say he is cute, but noisy........

I would never have any other breed. Love gsds too much. There arent many toller breeders around but they are slowly becoming more popular. The lady in the your dog mag (Barbara) is a good friend of the girl that has the tollers. Guess with there not being many of them every one will know every one else!!! What breed do you have?

Hi There,
My friend is on the Toller Club commitee with Babs, so we know her dogs really well..... she knows I would never swap my breed :D
I have a rescue GSD and 3 Australian Shepherds.......

Nice to hear that you have rescued a gsd . They're a lovely breed but can have their problems if not managed properly!!!!! I work for dogs trust (NCDL) rescue kennels and the sights I see there are unreal there are a lot of dogs who need loving homes and its nice to hear that you have gven one a great home

Hi There,
Yes, she is an absolute sweetie..... she was locked in a shed for the first 5 years of her life, and when we got her she was covered in mange and fleas and was emaciated.... I cried buckets when I brought her home....... but gradually we got her well, had huge problems with her food (she has colitis), but she is now 11 years old and the boss of a multi dog household !!!!!!!!! She sleeps on my bed, cuddles next to me on the sofa, and has never been beaten in the ''prettiest bitch class'' at local exemption shows..... We taught her agility which she loved, and she cries to go now when I take my young aussie, but at 11 years old, I think she needs to rest those back legs and keep healthy and happy for as long as she can........
The only problem we have never managed to change is food guarding, and we have tried everything, but the dogs are fed seperately from everyone else, so at 11 years old, I no longer regard this as a major problem....... the other dogs in the house have total resect for her.... she is just my grand old lady.......
I also had a rescue aussie with multiple problems before I got the other 3....... but if I was guaranteed another one like my GSD now, I would get another one tomorrow........

Suppose we cant blame her for guarding her food espescially if she has been starved for half her life.Cant imagine what she was like when you got her- actually yes I can we had one brought in the other day that was like that. Heart breaking isn't it can't believe that someone would do that to a creature that will be your best friend for life and always be there when you need them, to me not meaning to sound dis respectful but I would prefer working with dogs to humans any day there are some very cruel people out there.
My dogs always seem to know how I'm feeling and always find a way to cheer me up when im having a bad day.
It's also a great feeling when I walk into my block on a morning and all of the rescue dogs (even the nasty ones ) are excited to see me cos they know that they are loved. Makes me cry with joy sometimes when a dog comes in thats so scared it will bite and wet itself and then 1 week later when its gotten to know you and trusts you it starts to play and cries to be with you
God this job really reaps rewards!!!!!!!

Hi Amy,
I despair of people who can hurt animals..... to me, my dogs are my babies, and if anyone went near them to hurt them, I would so fiercely protective.....
I have had so much joy out of owning rescue dogs..... not every day has been good, but you take the rough with the smooth, and be there for them when they need you.....
The love I get back off my GSD is amazing... she senses my moods, and knows if I am upset, and her nose just appears with a big lick and a cuddle....... All my dogs are precious, and if I had a bigger house, I would keep on going !!!!!!!
