I have just been talking to my mum's friend who has a Rottweiler who is a few weeks off a year old, When he bought the puppy they said that the parents are KC registed and they will get the documents to them as soon as possible, but still hasn't got them, If he get the relevent information can he still register him?. I have the feeling that either of the parents are not KC'd. I know when i got Janska i got all the details from the breeder and he signed and i signed them and they got sent off and got all my registration within a week from the Kennel Club. He paid £250 for the puppy thinking it was fully KC'd which i think is cheap, but im not that clued up on Rottie's so not sure on the price. Has he been robbered?

I would say your friend should get back intouch with the breeder. and see what they say. £250  is very cheap depending on
what age he got him. rottys go from £500 an up.

your friend can get his k.c papers but will have to know what the dogs parents names and numbers are.
best if your friend get intouch with breeder. if hes been stolen did your friend see his dog with its parents?

Only the breeder can register a dog with the KC, and the signature of the stud owner is also required. If both the dam and the sire were/are KC registered and the bitch is within the limits set out by the KC the dog can be registered, it will cost £60 to register a single dog and as I said above the breeder will have to do it with the help of the stud owner.

He got the puppy at six weeks, and saw the other litter mates, his friend also has one of the puppies. I dont think they were stolen or anything, i just think the breeder wanted some quick money and didn't have any intention of registering them. I will let him know.
