hi,

knowing how much of a soft touch i am, a friend called me a couple of days ago to tell me about a little staffie cross pup (only 17 weeks old) that was being mistreated (thought she'd get me to take it). Poor little sod was being kept in a crate all day and now the owner was sick of it and decided last night to put him on the front and go to bed - hoped he would get taken in or ran over :-(.

As there is no way i could manage another dog right now i had to say i couldnt look after him but offered to take him in and re-home him properly. So after phoning every rescue centre in the area and gettin nowhere i was starting to think that he would be with me for a while but, as luck would have it, I found another home for him no more than an hour ago with a family friend and he is already over there settling in :-D

Apart from being a little timid and terribly underweight as she had been feeding him (rarely i might add) on adult food so no doubt he is full of worms he is a lovely little lad and will hopefully be happy in his new home. I did say that if it didnt go ok just to call and i'd come get him so still might be begging for help to home him.

Welcome to Andy's rescue centre ;-) lol

Good for you Andy :D
Thats exactly what I would do. No way I could have another at the moment, but would take one in no problem and either find a good home, or find a good rescue.
Hope all works out well for the poor little miote.
Lea :)

Well done Andy - big pat on the back :D
Why do people bother getting  a pup though without realising they need to put in the work and effort to train ???
By the way how is the dog you rescued/rehomed getting on ????

Utter stupidity and inconsideration in afraid!! dont realise that they are living creatures and need LOTS of care.

she's coming on great thanks, the house training has come on leaps and bounds all of a sudden - only 1 accident in the last 2 weeks :-D and she has really come out of herself, when i first brought her home walks consisted of holly hiding inbetween my legs and kara running around like an idiot. now holly follows too and the agression (purely through fear im sure) has dissapeared. The two are inseperable now, is great to watch them playing together and running round like loons.

Really made me realise when i went to pick little alfie up tonight how good and healthy my two do look. Makes the missed nights at the pub and all the poo shoveling seem a lot more worth while :-)
