Can't offer any help really on the collar situation.  I just put ordinary collars on my two staffy's.  I'm not really into going overboard in the way of staff collars and harnesses.

Just wanted to say good luck with him as I have rescued two staffy's and have really enjoyed them.  When you say "young" how young?  Mine were rescued at ages 5 and 51/2 years old.  My dog I have had for nearly 2 years now and my bitch I have had since November.
