I know I'n not allowed to advertise my business that I'm starting but I've been badly let down by a pet supplier,can anybody suggest a good,reasonably priced place to get a load of pet accessories,leads,collars,carriers,coats etc,Thanks in advance,Sandra.

When I worked at a pet shop we would get most of our stuff direct from suppliers such as canac and danish design.  Obviously you had to put in a large order to get stuff direct but it was alot cheaper.  Other suppliers we used were John Loaders from Fordingbridge (they were part of the vital group who I believe are nationwide) we also used Wundpets but I think they were slightly more expensive than Vital.  Have you looked on the net ?? im sure these days you can get stuff trade over the net for a reasonable price.

Hi do you have a Batleys near you?  If so they usually have a Pet Supplies Wholesale dept attatched.  Prices are OK on most things, very good on som (cages for instance).  Min. spend per visit £100 (this is at mine, dont know if this is in all of them)

Gwen,unfortunately it was Batleys that let me down!When they asked who I would be selling to I said it was for use within my own business and they got sniffy and said I could only buy stuff if I was selling it on to others through a unit or shop.I'm so mad as I know a lot of people use this place for their kennel supplies and not to sell on!!!!!!

Ah, sorry about that - I know they have a whole list of businesses they will let join.  I have a leaflet which came a couple of days ago from a pett supplier.  Unfortunatley wont be able to send the details to you till tomorrow as it is in my car, which I have loaned to my sister overnight.
