we have an elkhound at the moment who was a rescue, however he is now old and we are lokig to the time when we may have to replace him, we would like to take on another rescue dog.  We did once find a rescue site for elkhounds but can no longer find it, if anyone has any information we are on the border of south yorkshire and north nottinghamshire.  please email to velma.parkinson@btinternet.com.  Hopefully it will be while before anything happens but we can see he is getting old, we could consider taking on another one sooner however if we felt it was the right dog.

Has anyone found the secret to stopping them from barking so much, or is it just ours, he barks whenwe leavethehouse and when we come in, or anyone comes near thehouse whcih we do ot mind but he forgets when to stop.
