Hi,

After many long weeks of discussion and honest desicion making we have decided to go for a Brittany Spaniel as our next dog.

We feel that the characteristics of the dog fit us perfectly - and also that it would fit into our family (well my partner and myself - but our relatives as well...children and dogs etc).

I would be keen to get anyones experiences of these dogs (are there any owners on here) - and also if anybody knows of any breeders that may have pups available in the near future.

Used to live next door to one...typical spaniel...always busy!! Hated being left...howled form the moment the owners  left till when they got back.

If you can get to Crufts, go and visit Discover Dogs, there you can meet breeders and owners.

Very lively dogs, belong to the HPR group of gundogs (hunt, point and retrieve) and they do!  They require a great deal of training and mental stimulation to ensure that they do not become a problem!  Hopefully you will have chatted to experienced owners/breeders so that you have a full picture of their character.  Discover Dogs at Crufts is an ideal opportunity.
