Hi
I'd be really grateful if someone could tell me what the average size & weight of a 6 1/2 month old Boxer bitch is as my girl, Lara seems so small - 13kg & approx 19inchs at the shoulder.
Thank you
Jane

hi
i'm not sure but my bitch who is 9 months must weigh over 20 kg she was very skinny and leggy looking to begin with but the last couple of months she has begun to fill out abit, but she is still quite skinny someone told me they don't fill out properly until they have had a couple of seasons

Your girl still has quite a bit of growing time left, and Boxer sizes tend to vary quite a bit. The breed standard gives the desirable size for bitches as 21-23 inches and weight 30-32 kg. This is for the mature animal.
At 6 months my bitch weighed 20 kg (she is oversize though, 25+ inches), and my male 25 kg.
Boxers will not achieve their final height until they are around 12-15 months old and they are 2-3 years old before they have got their full adult musculature and the head is 'finished'.
Having seasons does not contribute in any way to the physical or mental maturation of a Boxer.
If you have serious concerns get your vet to check her, or contact your breeder to find out if this litter was expected to be of small stature. It may be that you simply have a naturally small girl. If she is eating well, playing well, sleeping well, and not getting too much exercise, you probably have nothing to worry about.
