Hi everyone. I wondered if anyone will be having any puppies this summer? I live in Suffolk but am prepared to travel. I am looking for a bitch and dont plan to show. Thanks.

Did you have any particular breed in mind?

why don't you register and tell us which breed you are interested in..its free.
People regularly come on and ask for puppies stating they don't want a show dog...this does not mean you can't or shouldn't go to a 'show' breeder. All breeders produce pet quality puppies(those ads you see saying all the litter are show quality are either liars or miracle workers) .The advantage of going to a breeder who is trying to produce show quality puppies is that you wiil find they are breeding from health tested parents and that the puppy will look like the breed its supposed to.
You will also find you will pay no more than buying a pup from the bloke down the road who is breeding for the wrong reasons.

Well pointed out Archer. In some cases I think that people assume that they pay less for a 'pet'  they are all reared the same in a quality litter but one or more may have 'show potential'

There are too many people who buy 'pedigree' dogs and get conned.Maybe in some ways it is their own fault since they don't do the research but it still makes me mad at the people doing the 'conning'.
A bloke up the road bought a GSD 2 years ago(for pedigree prices)...he now has a collie sized.lab type coated black mongrel with floppy ears and incorred tan markings(for a gsd).
As if not bad enough he bought a rottie before xmas..I saw it at 12 weeks old.It was no bigger than a chi and was black with BRINDLE markings!!.It looked like it is a collie X jrt.

Don't talk to me about this at the moment.  I just can't believe what some people do, but even more I can't believe some of the people who are taken in by it!!!

I have had two seperate calls in the last two weeks from people wanting to do things correctly this time, having learnt the hard way. One bought  a pup from Pikey Joe Bloggs, he died within 2 weeks from a chronic worm infestation. The other was purchased from a Pet shop, he died at 5months, was very lethargic but no conclusive results from autopsy :(
