Does anyone feed raw eggs? I usually add half a tin of tuna with they complete meal, would raw egg be ok? Or do you suggest i cook in some way?

Any advice would be great, Cheers.

I feed raw eggs regularly, complete with shell.  They are the perfect food against which all other protein foods are measured.

We have put raw eggs on Britneys food once a day and have not had any problem, I stick to free range eggs not mass produced battery hens

If my lot can get into the chicken houses then they help themselves to eggs - have not noticed any problems :)

hi all, i feed mine scrambled eggs all the time..........just wondering wot the difference is??

I gave my dogs a raw egg each with their breakfast this morning, they seemed to enjoy them, licked all the egg off first then ate the biscuits. Will give them eggs twice weekly now and tuna on the other days. They enjoy the tuna better tho.

Thank you.

Er one is cooked and the other is not?  One is egg only the other has milk added?

I used to feed all of mine a raw egg with their dinner in the evening.
It was something my dad did with all of his dogs so I took his lead (pardon the pun).
My lab bitch is so sweet
with eggs , because she'll walk around with it in her mouth for hours to prove what a good girl she is for not breaking it.
if we have visitors in the house she loves to show them!
Gave it to our
dobermann once...... well, he made short work of it, showed her how it was ment to be done.
well... as they say " you can't make an omlette,
  without breaking some eggs!

Hi all. Can you just tell me, is it ok to start an 8wk old  pup on the egg thing, or should I wait a while longer? And how many should you let them have? I a day, every other day? And lastly, what are the benefits of giving your dog egg?
- By tohme Date 01.02.04 10:27 UTC
2/3 eggs a week is sufficient.  Yes you can start a puppy on it.  Benefits? Perfect protein food with lots of Vits etc.
