Can anyone help our 16week old pup has recently gone off food. We have tried hot water over to make soft but is only eating small amounts. He is teething and enjoys a good chew at his bone. Also tonight I have notice his eyes are alittle blood shot can any one give us some advice as this is our first bully.

If he is teething his mouth will be very sore and that may account for the red eyes. I give my puppies an ice cube to play with. Might be worth a try?

Has he had any vacs , Sometimes they go off their food after being injected.
Perhaps you could put some mince meat and gravy in with his food and see if variation makes him hungry.
Was his eyes clear up to now?
It might be windblast ,
However if he does not eat soon i would take him to vet as puppies deteriorate very quickly if not eating.
Best get it checked with one so young .

Hi mari, His eyes were ok up till now . My son has been outside playing with him early today it maybe just that. You know how it is you worry and think is that connected to him not eating. He has had all his injections. Any suggestions on teething.

I always give a big meaty bone to my bullmastiffs . ripping the meat cleans the teeth and helps to stop them looking for other things to chew. The bigger the bone the better it will last days .

Hi
I have Bullies, what do you feed your puppy? I would try him on some raw meat, maybe some cheap economy mince from a supermarket or some 'pet mince', some butchers make their own from the offcuts of meat or you can get some stuff from places like Focus DIY and Pets At Home which are sold in frozen blocks. It is much better for them than tinned or dry stuff and will mean they will grow slower which is what you need for a big breed like Bullmastiffs.
Hope he starts eating again very soon.

If you feed raw meat please make sure that he has bone as well to compensate for the lack of calcium in meat.

Many of the pet minces are just ground up carcasses anyway, so they have a good percentage of bone and meat in them.

Have you tried B sorb to encourage the appetite /
