WHAT CAN I DO???

Now you know why we say don't get two puppies together or too close together!
This is the way puppies play. It's no use giving them a pack of playing cards, their paws could not hold them! You are just going to have to take charge. If you don't you will be storing up big trouble for the future. At best you will find you are the interloper in a pack of two. At worst the play fight will develop into something other than play!

As John says and I wouldn't contradict him at all :)
You have 2 puppies and they are playing your problem sadly is it isn't an even match.
try to seperate them is the 6 month old generally okay does he play with other dogs a lot and does he play nicely?
If you are not careful you will end up with is a pack of 2 and you won't have a chance, get control now-not forcefully they have to know you are in charge, and what you say goes.
Remember you have TWO Staffords they are both only babies if it is bad now think how much worse it can get when they are "teenagers"

hello,
i also have two staffords. one is nineteen months, the other is 13 weeks - both males.
they also play, but they make lots of noise - the baby one actually! :D
Taz (the older one) is excellent in that he is very gently, and allows himself to be 'attacked' without becoming nasty. This could be due to the fact that he is older or purely because his nature is so laid back.
Bailey ( the youngest) is still learning body language signals and he sometimes gets a little over excited during playtime!! however it is vital that you are in control at all times.
When things get to noisy or out of control i have to loudly and sternly say " ay, enough now". Taz understands this and sulkly slopes off somewhere else, bailey- who is still learning, doesn't really grasp it yet, although he is getting better, tries to follow taz to continue the play.
So he has to moved away, whilst telling him no.
It is important that you can control the situation, because as they get bigger, if they are playing and it escalates into something more, you are in big trouble :( :(
Taz was trained at home by myself. Bailey is a little more stubborn and it is harder to train him when taz is about, so bailey has started training classes. You need both dogs to be under control at first command, as to avoid any serious incidents.
It will be harder for you as your eldest is still very much a puppy, my taz is 12 months older than your eldest and he is still very much a pup!! :) :)
Let them play, but when they get over excited or noisy, stop them. Training them seperate will help you.
As mentioned in earlier posts because your dogs are so close in age they may form a pack between them - and you will have a real tuff time trying to gain control. :(
Bailey followed taz everywhere, and at the beginning (we had bailey at 5.5 weeks - very young) he didn't listen to us, and copied everything taz did. because i have control of taz this helped the situation. Had i not been able to control taz - i dread to think of what may have happened. Although taz enjoyed having his new little mate, he developed 'deaf' periods, because it was better to play with bailey. :) :)Perciverance and rewards for good behaviour have eliminated this now and things are good. Bailey still follows taz around but also follows us around too now and loves spending time with us instead of being ALL taz xx
good luck xx let us know how you get on xx

So things are going well then Raffystaffy I am pleased for you.
I hope we have helped Shaz, and the suggestion of training classes seperately is a good one; I never thought about good idea :)
