My 10 month old retriver cut one of her pads yesterday. It is on what i can only describe as the pad which does not touch the ground (possibly the doggie equivilent to a thumb on one of her front paws.) It bled steadily for a while, it didn't seem to hurt her (still doesn't) and was quite a clean cut. Other than making sure it is clean, is there any thing else i should do?
Also she has developed in the last 24 hours a couple of red lumps on the inside of her legs (on the fleshy bits.) They don't seem to be irritating her, but a couple of weeks a go she must have run through some thorns as we noticed some scabs in that area, which have more or less cleared up by themselves. (again they didn't bother her). Do you think i should consult the vet or wait and see what happens? They don't seem to be bothering her, but i'm worried it might be an allergic reaction or infection that needs treatment. Has anyone had any simimilar experiences (are these hot spots that retrivers are prone to?They are not open or weeping, just lumpy.)

Possible infection maybe ? I would get her checked out to be on the safe side :)
