Hi, you will have to bear with me here coz im not very techy but will try to explain what I mean as best I can. For some reason my flash player has stopped working, on some sites and games that are posted on here (Pingu one in Idle Chat for one) cannot load, i just get a symbol in the top left hand corner of, I think the flash logo. I have tried downloading it again from the macromedia sight and get nothing, instead of the video that should be played when downloaded it just goes back to a blank box with the flash logo again. I have looked in add/remove programs in the control panel to see if it is in there to remove it and then download again but it is not there. Any ideas on how to get it working again (it used to and with no problems on my pc (as far as I know) has stopped working).

Sorry if this makes no sense but tried my best and would be grateful for any help on getting it going again.

Thanks Sam

Have you tried using system restore?
Restore your comp back to a date before the problem developed.

seeing as you wanted to try removing it first, which may or may not work,
you can find flash through trhe following steps.
1) on browser toolbar click Tools
2) click Internet options
3) click Settings (towards the middle of the screen)
4) click View Objects

NB this assumes you're using windows and IE

a quicker way to the same place is to click "Start", then "Run"
and type/copy C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files

again I've assumed, this time correct path if different to your own.

Hi, tried both ways and neither worked, flash player wasnt in downloaded program files. Tried downloading it and still nothing? Any other ideas as its really getting on my nerves not being able to view things.

Thanks for your help so far.

If you have windows xp try this
click start
       programmes
       accessories
       system tools
      system restore
then restore your system to before the fault

Dont think i have Windows xp but tried it anyway (in case, im not techy at all) and can do all but system restore as there is no option for it. Im getting really frustrated with it as can't seem to find whats wrong with it or find anything relating to flash on my computer. aaaagggggggghhhhhhhhh computers. :-(
