We have our beautiful "Duchess" 5 weeks.   My question is she never really barks.  Not even when someone comes to the door.  Also she seems afraid of any kind of noise.   I am wondering if this is normal?  She is just about 6 months old.
If u can give me any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Have never owned a St Bernard but in general the larger the breed the less inclined to bark they are, no doubt finding that life is less of a challenge when you look like half a mountain. Have knowledge of Newfoundlands and although they can bark they do not do it very much and when they do it is usually at something they don't understand, which with Newfies could be almost anything except people.
