I cancelled my overseas holiday as I did not want to leave Rose my 5 month old border collie with relatives.  I have told my son we will rent a country cottage and take Rose with us.  I have just had a thought though.  The cottage is used by other dogs and she will be able to smell them in there.  She was slow in responding to house training.  Would she start putting her own smell around the place and could this cause her to go back to piddling everywhere.  I don't want to disappoint my son, but also couldn't face all that piddling again!! Would appreciate your help with suggestions.

We went on Holiday with our pup at 6 months, and the only suggestion i could make is be extra vigilant at what she does and keep popping her out for a wee. As soon as she wakes up pop her out and after a feed.
