I need to find out who owns a pub in my village - at the moment it has people in who lease it, but I need to know who actually *owns* the property...any ideas how to find out? Its not possible to ask the people who are in there at the moment.... :)

lol I haven't a clue to help but if no-one else knows there is a mum at school that runs a pub so i can ask her later.

Got it - found a Land Registry search thing on the internet so ordered it from there :)

Chloe - give me the name of the pub and Village and I will ask our guys at work.  It might be on a 21yr lease and appear that the current managers own it however probably not the case.  Pm me if you prefer.  An idea of postcode might help also.

Its the RO in my village - remember the one I mailed you about? Its up on a lease, but I hear it could be for sale.... I have the books and have been to see it, but its been run down and the price they are asking is a bit steep.... The other one thats up is The Horns - same place - also of interest ;)

I remember that one - Don't think it's one of ours though but I could try and find out more info for you if you want, Pro's cons etc.  If the lease only is being re-assigned then you need to check for any ties applicable ie. tied to buy certain products through whoever is selling the lease etc, terms of lease, full repairing etc.  Can't remember the village name but I can see if we have any for sale in that area, however the majority of ours unless we are selling the building will be on a long lease.
