I'm feeding my dog on Skinners lamb and rice but I really feel that dry complete foods are so boring. I'd love to change to something else but I'm not brave enough to go BARF. Does anyone know of any interesting complete type foods???????

Have you considered Naturediet a complete wet food of meat, rice and veggies in various flavours?
I've done a bit of investigating into Naturediet but my dog is a Rottweiler and I worked it out that he would need to eat about 8 packs a day - it would work out extremely expensive.

Could you not mix some Naturediet in with the complete for a wee treat

All my dogs are fed a dry complete diet and they thirve on it. they never leave any, and what we percieve as 'boring' a dogs doesn't. Varieties of food are aimed at pet owners not at thier pets.

I think dogs like variety as much as we do.

If your dog is suited to a variety of foods that is great for you... however in my experience mixing/matching foods leads to fussy eaters and tum problems (with some of my labs that is). I was just making the point that most dogs do better on a consistent diet. Hope you can find a diet that works for you and yours.

Mica,
The only time I have ever had problems with "fussy eating" has been when I've fed a dry complete that my dogs really did not like. They may even have eaten the stuff for a few months - and then turn their noses up at it and walk away from the bowl.
I have never had a problem with fussy eating once I started to add fresh food to dry. Varying the fresh supplements did not cause fussy eating, it eliminated it.
Now, I feed my dog a food she actually likes, ND and she also gets a wide variety of extras of meat & veg from our meals. No problems with fussiness at all.

Hi, my bullmastiffs are fed a complete meal, but just to brighten it up i add different things each day, eg: tripe, minced beef/chicken, butchers tripe, sardines (in sunflower oil and tomato), pasta, rice, our leftovers etc, they also get raw chicken wings though not everyday. I feel it just gives them something extra as like you complete does seem a little boring. but not all dogs can take having different foods and they need to stick to one type. forgot they also have veggies as well, and they all look forward to roast diner on Sundays.
Karen.
