Hi everyone

I saw your recipe for liver cakes Saturday so thought mmmmm that sounds good for my dog so I'll have a go, how hard can that be !!!!!!  So I put all the ingredients in the blender and guess what, the flaming top came off the blender, it was a pretty spectacular show !!!!!, me and most of the kitchen were covered in liver stuff, ever seen Bridget Jones Diary where she gets covered, well just like that except no Colin Firth to help me clear up just my dog hoovering up everything that was dripping down the units and on the floor. Anyway eventually cleaned the mess up and had another go (this time with the blender lid firmly clamped down!!)  They turned out lovely, I had a taste myself, really very nice indeed (thinking of putting some in my husbands lunch box hes always complaining about not getting anything new!!!!) and my dog just loves them.  Gonna try the sausagemeat and tuna ones next.  Thanks again all.  Regards Jenny X

Hah! You were lucky! I gave it a go - but I don't have a blender, only an electric hand-whisk! I had the bowl clamped firmly to my tum and switched on ... the dogs love my jumper - it'll never be the same again.

Ah yes, that large nobbly thing I have yet to purchase.  I've been sitting here having a real good laugh at that.  Everytime I think of myself going into the pet shop to get one I get the giggles.

Actually people on a more serious note, I feed my Westie on Chicken, carrots, broccolli and brown rice (which I cook myself) I asked about tripe and was told that he could have some now and then but that I had to make sure he was getting enough calcium as I dont give him any bones.  He has half a Vetzyme conditioning tablet every day, should I be giving him anything else as hes only 6 months old.
