It depends whether its one-way or two-way? Sat broadband is ok, but you have to get used to the way it works...
Very slow in appearance, but not so... its a good second or so between hitting the button and getting the site down, but when it does come down it all comes at once... rather than the gradual download you normally see with broadband etc.
Cost is normally prohibitive, altho a few people have got it down to a reasonable price now... just watch out for high installation costs...

Local service providers have been able (more recently) to provide services using technology known as Wi-Fi which is essentially wireless equipment operating within the 2.4Ghz licence-free spectrum. Many factors will determine the quality of the service you receive using this, the number of users connected to the same access point, the bandwidth the provider makes available etc...
