Hi, I was just wondering how some breed clubs "choose" their judges?. We have six breed clubs, 3 use a (different) voting system, and the remaining 3, the committee choose the judges. There are good and bad for both systems, so I was just wanting to know what other breed clubs did, and if they had found a "fair" system? Look forward to your comments.

Our club chooses the judges at committee meetings.  For Ch shows we try to alternate, one year UK based judge, the next foreign.  (After all we are an Ameican developed breed).  Have not been on the committee long enough to say how well it works!

For the FCR Society, the members are balloted for choice of championship show judge, and the open show judges are picked by the show sub committee.
