I am thinking of camping in scotland at the champ show for the weekend,Just wondered if anyone has done this. When we have been to c shows offering camping i have only seen motor homes on the sites,Dont want to be the only one in a tent.Lol
Hi Linda
The only time we ever went for the weekend was one year at Builth Wells. We have a caravan, but there were plenty of tents. I also used know someone who camped at most champ shows. I think it's okay as long as the weather is reasonable. That could be a problem in Scotland (dig, dig). Are you what they call a well seasoned Camper?
How will your dog react to sleeping in a tent? When we first took our bitch on a long weekend in the caravan (that sounds like we spent all weekend actually in the caravan, which we didn't) she was up every time anyone in the whole field so much as moved. She'd be terrible in a tent, I'm sure.
Hope you have a great time camping! We enjoyed staying at the showground and being able to wander around, go back to our home on wheels for lunch and mix with other dog people. It was a nice change, thinking about it I wouldn't mind doing it again some time.
Let us know what you decide to do.

Have several friends who regualry caravan at shows, and when visiting them see quite a few tents set up, so I dont think it is too unusual.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the replys,Make up my mind and going to give it a go,Its the Scotland champ shows that i want to go to.The cold wont bother me as from Scotland myself.Have had the lab camping last year for the first time,She was fine except for standing on my chest at 5 in the morning asking to go out,Not an easy task with being wrapped in a sleeping bag and the fool wieght of a lab on you.
It would be much cheaper to camp than renting a cottage for the weekend,Thank again
Linda
