Usually i will cook heart, kidney and liver for my dogs as a treat, but would it be cook to give it them raw, they have raw chicken wings in a morning and then pro plan at teatime. Would they be ok with this raw?

hiya i feed mine raw ox heart as well as chicken wings i would'nt feed to much heart / liver as it could go straight through them

Thanks for that, i gave them some this morning. I think they prefer it cook!! They also prefer chicken wings so will stick to that type of stuff.

Mine will eat Kidney and heart raw with no problem but the livers I have to mix in with other foods or cook and use as training treats

i didnt know whether to feed Toby hearts liver etc raw or cooked, so i tried Toby on both, being a lab he ate either but he did seem to enjoy raw more, so that is now what i do,

I also use liver cooked when shes at ringcraft, seems to work well, but at match night on wednesday i used chicken liver instead of Ox liver and she wasn't interested in at all so will stick to ox from now on.

It is perfectly safe to feed raw; some dogs do not like kidneys.  Liver is a laxative and heart is a muscle meat.  You should not feed the same quantity of offal as you would RMBs or muscle meat for example.  200gms at once would be more than enough if necessary mixed with mince etc.

Hi ! mine all are on the "barf-plan!", they would have some sort of offal either heart/liver etc once or twicr every 3weeks. the poohs are a little runnier,so i usaually give the meal after a few days of wings.

2 of the dogs love the offal, the 3rd is always a bit puzzled so i have to cut hers into chunks!

all this is obvisley raw!
