Just wanted to mention to any people on the Board who may have a bit of spare time on their hands and have access to a car there is a wonderful website called www.k999.org.uk that is always looking for volunteers throughout the country to help with transporting dogs from one centre to another - especially death row dogs.
Just a thought to anyone who can help occasionally :)

You dont have to help full time - but you may be in that area and have nothing better to do ;)

Its a nationwide scheme and whenever a dog needs transporting from one rescue centre to another they basically put a request on the website for someone to help in that particular area.
So it changes all the time and any area in the country can require help
It also helps out those dogs that may be in pounds and ready to be pts and gets someone to collect the animal and take it to another rescue centre :)
If you have a look at the site and pop onto the discussion forum they have requests for volunteers in different areas
