I just recently tookn a one year old German sheperhard form, friends who didn't really bother with him after he was a pup. He spent all day in the back garden and I was the only person to walk him. He is a loving dog and cried constantly after the neighbours who regurlay came out to chat and pet him.
My mum and I felto so bad for him that we decided to take him to live with us. We had a few restless nights but that soon faded out,but the problem that is still worring us is when he is left alone during the day(Most day's only 4hrs or less)we leave him in the kitchen,as the neighbours complained of his barking, with the doors locked. He has taking to try and eat his way through the door. He is left with several toy's and when we give him a bone he buries it straight away,so that can't be a soultion to keep him occupied for a while.
When he knows there is someone home even if we are not with him, he is an angel.
He gets walked twice a day at least and gets alot of attention in the evenings. I'm so worried that he's getting very stressed out when we leave him. How can I help him?
