hi i have a 6 month puppy lab, she has most of her new teeth now, but the four big teeth top and bottom at front, she only seems to have three, they have been through for about 4 weeks and are quite big, but the bottom one on left side is no where in site, is this strange?  any advice would be gratefull.   sue

I presume you mean her canine teeth? The ones on either side of the 6 incisors (small teeth at the front)? i wouldn't worry, they do come through at different rates. I take it she has lost her baby tooth? If not, check that the new tooth isn't growing behind it (or in front) as they do occasionally have trouble with a retained tooth & she may need to have it removed at the Vets. If it's gone, there should be a slight "mound" in the gum where the new tooth is starting come up.

thank you, anwen yes the puppy tooth has been gone for about  3 weeks now, she has got a bump where the tooth should be, so i take it it must be there some where, just looks a bit strange with no tooth that side.  sue
