;)

Dizzy has been doing really quite well with the house training. Getting let out lots and asking to go, if you can call glancing at the door asking

Anyway she has just eaten her supper and was let out. I stood in the rain for 5 minutes while she huddled in beside me, not even moving when I gave the 'gedawee' command (which she just about understands now). I was expecting her to wee on the floor when I nipped upstairs to the toilet but when I came down she had made a considerable puddle on her bed

She has never been punished for going in the house and has had any daytime accidents beside the back door for the last week so I've no idea what brought this on :(

I didn't say anything to her, just bundled it into the washing machine and got her a blanket to lie on.

Any advise as to why she might have done this and how to deal with it, should it happen again, would be welcome. I know we will get there in the end but sooner really would be better than later ;)

Thanks :D

How old is she now? :)

She was 12 weeks on Friday.

I was considering getting her a crate or cage to help with the night time puddles but I really don't want to encourage her to 'go' on her bed  :(

She wasn't excited or playing, as I try to keep things calm for a while after she eats.

Ade bought Daniel a potty today but I told him chasing round after Dizzy is bad enough without having to mop up after a 2 year old too - lol!

I asked Grace and she says Dizz did it in her bed because she knows its wrong to do it on the floor. Its just an accident - don't worry ;)

Maybe I should get her one of those little umbrellas that fit on your head and she'd wee outside for me ;)

We took her to the pet shop the other day and we must have had 30 people stop to stroke her :D She wanted to play with every dog we saw - can't wait until she gets her booster on Thursday so we can finally get her outside properly. Jake has already asked if I'll meet him from school and he usually objects to that :D  :D  :D

But you have to understand; Jake doesn't really want you to meet him, he wants Dizzy to meet him, and as you come as a pair.....:D

Are you silly? Danes don't like cold, wet, windy, snow, muddy, sunny, hot, warm, humid, dry weather roflmao :D
I think you are just about venturing into the "I think i'm human stage and why should i pee outside" ;)

Pups aren't always keen on the rain and she obviously needed to go but just couldn't make herself go out. Aw, it's all wet and soggy out there after all

I agree it was just an accident. Next time, maybe take her out on a longish lead when you know she needs to go and give her lots of praise and a treat to make it worth her while. Eventually it will be such a habit to go out that she will never do it inside, and will either choose to hold on (which small pups can't do as they physically don't have the muscle control) or go out in the rain if she really does have to go.

I just chuck mine out and go make a cup of coffee :D :D They went out very reluctantly this morning in the wind and the rain and I shut the door, Willis was out for 2 seconds, threw himself against the door and opened it, came charging in and jumped straight up me. Wet paws. Wet dog. Slobbery kisses. Niiiiice.

lol... I can see the funny side of it this morning. Last night my first thought was that all the books say a pup won't wet the bed so mine must be mad  I forgot that Dizz hasn't read the books
