I own a beautiful lil Boxer girl, she's 1 1/2 yrs old.  We use to feed her Nutro max, then after a short time we gradually put her on natures recipe, now she's on Innova.  She's been passing gas all along.  It's pretty bad, and constant.  The vet says it's what they do, but I don't buy that.  Since you lnow the breed so well what do you think I should do to remedy the problem.  Is there a type of food made for dogs with this problem? please write me soon! I feed my Boxers a natural diet and they very rarely have wind. I don't know if it is the diet, or whether I have just been lucky in having Boxers blessed with good digestive systems.

If you do not wish to change your dog's diet you could try charcoal biscuits. They are supposed to 'absorb' the gas in the stomach before it can escape :-). (If you do feed the biscuit her poo will be black - just mentioned that as it can be a shock if you are not prepared).

Also, how often do you feed her? If you are feeding one meal a day try dividing it into two or three meals instead.

Glazby my 2 year old boxer dog parps as regularly as clockwork and by god what humdingers he can do!!  He could empty a room in seconds once he's let one off and thats with the Flatulance Control Biscuits he gets every day!!  We are often amazed at the fruitiness as it really does make your eyes water, he's obviously not too keen on the smell himself either as he generally lets one go and then moves to the other side of the room quite quickly!!

Before we got him we did quite a bit of research into the breed and flatulance did seem to be a common thing that came up in the books that we read!!
