My bitch Phoebe had a litter in March, there were complication and she had a caesarean, not going into to much detail we changed Vets. Anyway we know she now only has one functioning kidney, the other is enveloped by a cyst and is in operable as it is attached to the Vena Cava, she is obviously drinking more but is now wetting at night(all dogs sleep indoors) fine I clear it up etc - today though it does smell quite a bit and I can't get rid of the odour, my question is has anyone got any advise to getting rid off the smell, and more important what can I do about Phoebe's problem
I feel I am rambling a bit, please excuse me as I am worried.
Any advise please

Make sure your vet is aware of any changes in amount of urination, fluid intake, habits. As far as the odor is concerned, white cider vinegar is extremely good in removing the odor (and its smell goes away when it dries **winking**).

I think I would obtain a sample of urine for the vet to examine for a possible UTI with only one kidney I should imagine it is ever more important to treat these things quickly rather that allow a kidney infection to develope.
