Hi
I'm with Tescos Insurance .
I rang around loads last time I renewed and they were definately the cheapest for me :)
Also when some idiot ran into the back of me they sorted it out pronto - they sorted out the solicitor for me too so i didnt have to do anything and they didnt drag it out either.

Hi jean
i used e-sure last year, they are very cheap and was very quick too in sending me my insurance document as i did it all on line...i haven't had a claim off them so can't tell you what they are like at paying out though, i still have my car insured with them :)

Seeing that idiot Michael Winner is enough to put me off esure for life.
Have you tried CIS, or Churchill

I use CIS. When I got my first car, I had only passed my test about 6 months and was uner the age of 25. 3rd party fire and theft ranged from £1000 down to £410. Cis was the £410. Mt poarents use them. And when I had a accident in one of the works vans a few years ago, they were great and we had no problems, even tho it was my fault!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would thouroughly recommend them.

Esure only give low quotes if you do not have any convictions. Otherwise they will refuse to insure you ! I know because they refused me for my 3 points !

It ought be be an offense to have Michael Winner appear on those adverts, surely the ITC should do something about it ! :p

I've always used direct line since they quoted £200 less than my broker, I've had no problems at all.
- By jeanniedean [gb] Date 11.01.04 18:18 UTC
We use a broker as well are they not supposed to check every year for the best deal We have used this broker for 21 years.

We're with the National Farmers Union... and no, we aren't farmers :)

They are supposed to check every year and i believe they do, but they only search the select few as do direct line. I liked a broker because they let me pay by 4month instalments at no charge, but i get charged by direct line for monthly direct debits.

We did have the AA insurances but they went up so much we changed to Esure for my car and Tesco online for Hubby no problems so far!but then we haven't had to make a claim!

Cost wise though they were soooo much cheaper for same cover.I've got a 53 reg peugeot 203SW and hubby drives a 418TD Rover estate and they both came in at under £250 full comp with no claim protected!

Also re-insured my buildings insurance with Esure last year, much cheaper than previous companies. :)

I'm with More Than and their quote was just fractionally less than esure's but both were a hell of a lot less than the competition!

I'm with Esure too, but as everyone above, haven't had to claim.
They quoted me £150 pounds cheaper than my renewal with Norwich Union, whom i've been with for years and never claimed off.
Also i got breakdown cover in with my new policy, so it would have been at least £200 cheaper, if i hadn't.

Esure wont quote for all cars I own a GTI and they wont quote me also age and job influence wheather they quote. I got mine through a brooker and O.H. has his with Liverpool Victoria.

Direct Line has always been the cheapest for me, ive been with direct line for years, my car is modified (boy racer wheels, wheel arch extensions, spoiler, slightly lounder than most exhaust etc :D :D ) and I used to have 10 points  on my licence and most companies wouldnt even quote me but direct line were quite reasonable all things considered :)

Hubby's car insurance had always been with the AA, but we recently had a shock when it came up for renewal so had a look around.  We ended up using Halifax, they quoted us less for fully comp including legal protection and protected no claims,  than the AA did for third party...........so you know who we went with :-)

We also changed our buildings and contents insurance with them too, loads cheaper and better cover!!

I must be a very simple soul ...I would have assumed that IF you get car insurance with a company and then go a year with no claims ..your premium would go DOWN. Oh no ...no no no , ever since Stephen passed his test 10 years ago whichever company he is with has hiked the price up every year

As a consequence we change our insurance every year...and we save money every year ..we transfer the no claims bonus over and bobs your uncle :D :D
