A friend has taken on a pup who has been quite badly treated she is now 22 weeks. Lately she started to walk funny shes been to vets and next week they are going to see if she has hip dysplasia or if she has maybe been kicked while young. What happens if its hip dysplasia is there something they can do or do they have to be put to sleep? Its such a shame because she is just starting to behave as a pup should without being terrified.

alot now can be done for Hip dysplasia, I would personally seek the opinion of a referral vet who deals in just this field if it proves that she does have hip dysplasia and swimming in a dog pool helps strengthen the muscles around the bone to support the dogs weight etc
