I have a 4 year old rescue dobe and latley he is eating all the time. I fi take him for a walk he lurches at peoples bags to get the food inside and eats every scrap he comes across on the floor.  I dont understand why he is doing this as he is fed twice a day and gets treats. His wormers and vaccinations are up to date.  Does anyone have any idea why he suddenly started doing this??

How much does he weigh, can you see his ribs and pin bones (hips) when he is moving?  When was he last wormed?  Is he getting more exercise than usual?

Some Dogs do eat more in the colder weather.  Is he as active as usual?

More questions than answers but the answers to some of them may indicate he is normal, just hungrier than usual and others may indicate a trip to the vet (which is always the best course if you are at all worried about your dog)
