I took my 6month Westie to get his first cut a few weeks before Christmas. The lady said that he was well-behaved and enjoyed the water. When we put him in his first bath at home since the cut, he jumped out again and was shaking-he seemed really frightened but we had not changed anything-the water temperature etc were all the same. He hada nother bath last week and he is no better.
What do you think has happened and how can we help him?

Start off with putting him in the bath and give him a treat.  Praise him and leave it at that.  The next day do the same but turn on the shower, not getting him wet, and again treat and praise him.  When you come to bathing him properly he might be more relaxed about it.  Make sure you've got a non-slip mat.  If it comes to it, maybe one of you should be in the bath too!!
