Just checked Barneys KC registration certificate and saw the following acronyms, can anyone please explain what they stand for.  GPRA and CPRA.  Thanks.

Hi Jax,
GPRA Generalised progressive retinal Atrophy
CPRA  Central Progressive Retinal atrophy
HC      Hereditary cataract
PLL     Primary Lens luxation                       all non-congenital eye diseases which are checked for yearly if breeding from a dog/bitch

Debbie.

Just to say that I hope the word Unaffected appears after these Acronyms for both parents?  If so that is excelelnt, and shows the breeder eye tests before breeding.  You should also have a Hips score for each parent.

Hi Brainless, thanks, yes, both parents tested and both unaffected.  But no hip scores :( and its really worrying me.  He is my first puppy and I didn't realise how important the hip score was, will have to call the breeder and ask.
