Just wanated to let off steam really. Went to the rescue centre where Jazz is from yesterday to take treats for the dogs, as Jazz got way too many for xmas. Some people are so cruel stupid or both, there were so many dogs in there 2 to each kennel at least and so many of them said unwanted pet or mistreated I wanted to cry. Sorry guys just needed to sound off
Michelle:)

I usually take a box of goodies to the cat and dog home at Christmas but I never take up their offer to "have a wee look at the dogs". I can't bear it that there are just sooo many homeless dogs there and I can't take any of them. I know a lot do get re-homed but sadly a lot don't and I can't stand to see the hope on their faces when you go up to their cages. If people would only really think it through before they get a dog - it's not an easy ride as we all know.

I went to our local rescue last week to collect bunny no 2, i promised myself i woulden't look .It was full as expected ,so no avoiding a quick peek. labs,bc's,rotti all with take me home eyes .I can't believe the shallow reasons for some of these poor dogs being there ,cast aside to make way for the latest bundle off fluff .I came away feeling guilty that i had bought a well researched pup when the rescues are bursting .It was certainly a very humbling experience there really are some beautiful rescue dogs out there .

There have been a few articles in the paper about the unwanted pups. The one I saw had a beautiful picture of GSD cross pups that were dumped at Manchester dogs home but I'm sure they will all get good homes now that they were in the paper. I just don't understand how stupid people are... they think dogs are just toys that you can throw away whenever you want. I really hope they all go to good homes but in reality this won't be happy ending for all those dogs :( If anyone is considering buying a puppy please think of a rescue dog instead.....
