Hello,
Our 7.5yr old dobe bitch is again struggling badly with wobblers syndrome after having a good year or so of health following spinal surgery the first time she was diagnosed.
She has previously responded well to Metacam but has worsened lately and the Rimadyl which our vet recently changed her over to doesn't seem to have much effect although she seems to be pain-free most of the time she is still falling over whilst walking and legs splaying out, especially on hard surfaces.
We recently tried a magnetic collar but it seemed to have no effect so we stopped after approx a week but have recently read that it can take several days for it to work. Does anyone have good feedback on these ?
Have also read good things about Conium Causticum (homeopathic) and acupuncture. Again I'd be very grateful to hear from anyone with experience with either of these.
We are coming to terms with the fact that we may lose her if she continues to deteriorate however are keen to explore all avenues as we have already seen one almost miraculous recovery following her surgery last time although the road was very hard and took several weeks of nursing, physio (mainly swimming) and we don't feel we could put her through that again.
Thanks in anticipation.
