My 8 year old gsd is very snuffly, being unable to breath through her nose at all.  I have only noticed this recently after being away for a couple of weeks with my newfs at shows. One Newf contracted kennel cough but the gsd has had no cough at all just a very swollen nasal cavity, but not red at all. As she is rotated on her sleeping arrangements I have noticedhow noisy she is when breathing as she is taking her turn in the bedroom, also having been away for a while hubby makes the dogs sleep in their own area. I shall be taking her a vet on Monday but living where we do the vets dont open  weekends and only allow call out for dire emergencies!! There is no other vet this practice covers thewholecounty and beyond!! Does anyone have any ideas? I gave her sudofed which seemed to help at first but not now. None of the other dogs are experiencing the same symptoms includung the three that sleep in the bedroom permanently.
