my 17 week old puppy is on a diet of hills science plan for large breed. I have been reading on champ dogs about a complete food called  "burns". Is it as good as people are making out and should i consider a change or shall i stick to "Hills" as it was recommended by my vet???

Hills is recormended by all vets for one reason, its what they sell!

Personally I have never fed burns but many people have raved over it.

At the end of the day it is your choice what you feed your dog.  just take in what everyone tells you and come to your own conclusion at the end of it.

My mother used to feed her golden on Hills, and he was always on the 'loose' side. After a few years she changed over to Burns, and the dog's condition has improved noticeably, and what comes out the other end is much easier to clean up!

What did your breeder recommend? I would stick to that at the moment to be totally honest... and look at changing over gradually if and when you have a problem. Why don't you join and chat further about your pup? :)
