Was wondering if this is ok to give to dogs?
As it has proven beneficial digestive abilities in humans I was wondering if it was safe to give to my dobermann puppy ( 5 months old ) who has a terrible flatulence problem - at least it wouldn't be so offensive if it was minty smelling!!
He's fed on Burns canine extra and gets no other titbits ( usually! )
If anyone has any info please advise & Happy New Year to you all!

Hi, peppermint oil for humans with this prob is great, but as with all of us dogs included you need to find out whats causing this problem. IBS is usually cauesd by diet/stress or both. Try feeding him a raw diet, if not it would do no harm to add very finely chopped fresh mint to his diet. :) Why don`t you join, it`s free & we could then discuss this further :)

Most dogs will like peppermint tea and will come to no harm.  Although I think most of the Burns is ok I personally would not feed Canine Extra as it contains sugar beet pulp; this can cause gas because of fermentation;  why not try swapping to one of their varieties that does not contain sbp and see if this helps?

All my dogs and ponies get mint on there food each day as mint helps sooth the digestive system i use dried chopped mint which i get  from my tack shop.

Hi Daisydobe.
I agree with Christine ,it is best find out what the problem is first .
It might  be that the  complete your using may not suit your puppy .
You have other options so why not join the club and see if raw is the answer for you ,if not then you still have complete to go back to
