Hi
A friend of my sister was looking for a CKCS puppy approx 3 months ago as a pet only, she checked out the internet and also the KC for registered breeders. One of the breeders she contacted had pups available but at a higher cost than she had anticipated having to pay, the breeder advised her that if she was not willing to pay £??? amount of pounds for one of the pups that she had available she should go to a puppy farm.
She was told how to find the telephone number in the local papers and would get her pup there, but she should remember that you get what you pay for.
Needless to say she did not follow this breeders advise and is now happily waiting for her pup to come live with her family in 6 weeks time from another breeder who was appalled that anyone in her breed could have advised such a thing.

good for her------- its amazing what some breeders come out with--------im having calls re pups that have on several occasions told me and also other breeders  that a certain person is telling potential puppy buyers that shes the top breeder, and as such can charge what she likes for her pups., !!!!!  £1,500 quoted.      ------       all of which is untrue !!!       she isnt, and never has been a top breeder.
