Hello,
When i first got my new puppy he was about that age i cannot really rember i introduced him to my other dog who hed be liveing with and he was very scared i mean he hid under the chair where i was sitting and the size differnce was big because it was a small puppy chow and a large newfoundland the newfie was about 8yrs and the chow HAD to get use to my newfie because they were going to live outside together the 1st night i had him i kept him in but on the 2nd night he stayed out with my newfie and there was no problem :). and he live out with him ever since.
But i stayed with my pup and kept introducing him to my newfie and on the 2nd day he was fine with my newfie i still kept an eye on them both and they got to be best mates but now me newfie has passed away my chow is not happy :( but really it just takes time with them as long as you keep an eye on them both when they are together im sure they will be fine it wont be long beofor the pup will be hanging on the end of the other dogs tail :)

At 14 weeks he's at a tage in his life when his would be left on his own by his mother in the wild more and more - so nature has programmed him to be very careful around new/stranger things. Any introductions to new things need to be handled very carefully at this age (ideally a pup should have been introduced to lots of things before this, from a safe place with regard to infection ofcourse, ie from your arms, or by taking him out in a car) Your best bet would be to try and get him to a puppy class which is well run (ie playtime is managed and not a free for all) where you will also get support for all other normal puppy problems.
