were looking for a family dog. (kids 10, 12, 15) small because we live in an apartment. one that is low to average maintinance. we have a dog park near our home which is where the dog will be walked and exercised, there are MANY animals there so we also need a dog that would be pretty friendly with other animals. any suggestions on what kind? king charles spaniels have been recommended by a friend. do you guys think this would be a good dog? any other suggestions?

I would have suggested King charles or cavalier king charles, they are lovely family dogs.

Have you considered a greyhound? I know they look big but they seem to curl up into the tiniest places when indoors and they are very lazy so one walk a day is plenty for them. :)

Hog the radiators though.
