I have had my puppy for 5 days she 7 weeks old.

She keeps crying when ever shes in a room on her own.

I can only assume that she would be crying none stop when we are out.

Any advise how to stop this? or will she just grow out of it?

So basically you got her when she was only 6 weeks old How long is she left alone for, I take it you are talking about night times only? 6 weeks old thats way to early, she will be missing her litter mates :( She is looking for reassurance, if you have to leave her by herself put a blanket, jumper, something with your scent, leave a radio on?

What breed is she?

Why is she shut in a room on her own, and for how long?

How long are you out for?

She may eventually grow out of it, but it would be far better if you can help her to get accoustemed over a period of time, to being on her own - it's a big shock to a little puppy to be taken from her littermates, possible mother as well, and to be left alone, even for short periods :(

Sadly I am seeing more and more in the paper or online where people are letting puppies go to homes when they are only 5 weeks old.  To me this is crazy.  My pup is coming to me when it will be 8 weeks old.  Some even think this is too young and the pups shouldn't go before 12 weeks.  I am happy anywhere between 8-12 weeks.  Not before.  This pup is most likely scared.  It is not ready to be left alone yet.  I would advise being with the pup as much as possible for the next serveral weeks to help it to build confidence.  During the night I always advise people to start off with the pup in its crate in your room.  Then you can more easily hear it moving around if it needs to potty, and hearing your breathing during the night will keep it calm.

This little bull terrier pup needs love/warmth/food/water/ cuddles/ a crate with a big blanket& paper- water dish and good puppy food and then take it /or put it into a room that is warm with maybe the radio on low and a good toy.

She was crying all the time, e.g. if I was in the kitchen and she was in the living room. She is a lot better now, I leave her with some clothing of mine when I go out which I think has help. As for six weeks being to young I don't agree but that a whole different discussion.

I've had her a week now and she has become a lot more confident.
