SF got her navel pierced yesterday by a lovely young man all tattoos and metal pins. Hurt more than she thought, but she was very brave and screwed the nut as her Dad says. I hope this is the end of my girls having themselves perforated - poor SF's eyes dilated like saucers as he began the procedure and she couldnt close them out of fright. I was so upset all I could growl was " Nae girlie greetin, hen!" without crying myself. It does solve Christmas and Birthday present problems for relatives though.

I had mine done about 4 years ago and it never hurt at all - must admit that the top part of my ear being pierced was absolute agony
Make sure she keeps it clean as they are easily infected

I found belly button was the most painfull not having it done but afterwards as I was daft enough to have a ring put in mine and its very surprising how many things rub against it.

i have recently had another 2 done,i know have 5 in my right ear,3 and a tragus in my left ear,eyebrow,nose,beauty spot,lower lip(new),tongue,nipple(ouch),belly button top and belly button lower(new)

some days.......for some reason, i keep thinking id like to get my tongue re-pierced.......

twas kewl! errrr but it made my gums really sore, so i took it out in the end!

ah well, ill have a think, loads of tattoos here, and i ahve my ears pierced (when i was 11) but nothing else is perforated.

Thats an ace present! Wish someone would get me that, im getting the urge to get another one!  Im trying to leave it long enough so that i can give blood, i think it has to be six months from the last tattoo before u can do it.........dunno if im gonna hold out that long!

My last one was about 4 months ago though, so mebbes i will! (its a tribal style dragon on my right calf, v big, v black and v v kewl! tis one of my own designs!)

em i think it is 12 months before you give blood,thats my down fall every time the donation van comes to town i have recently had something done,so never get the chance to give.i have both outer thighs done and im hoping to join my ankle tattoo to my thigh one eventually,i have 5 large tats and 1 small one,and im hoping on my new one being a little vine of flowers on my right boob trailing round the nipple(contemplated having it pierced,but thought no get another tat)it will eventually lead up and over my shoulder and join my 2 shoulder pieces together with the vines,down the spine and join up my waist so just a little plan really :D

I decided to get a very small tattoo,2 japanese letters,not very original I know but I love them and I can choose to show them if I wish by wearing something different.Now I'm bitten and I would like another.Really,really like the phoenix rising from the fire,can't remember who has it on their back but it traces right up the spine,lovely.Also like the set of angel wings kelly Osbourne has on hers,don't know if they are real or not but it was a nice design ,Sandra.

Are you running out of sites, Em? Gothboy has his ear pierced twice which is OK and now wants a Flesh Tunnel. So far SF is caring for her perforation well and is perusing the Argos catalogue for belly bars. Im still looking for a good unicorn design.

ooohhh not flesh tunnels,that does flip my stomach a bit i have seen a few different sized ones and i dont personally like anything bigger than 1 finger.i also wouldnt let SF change her belly bar for at least a month,you can change after 2 weeks but the more you change it the more chance of infection.i left mine in 6 months before changing it and it was the best thing i did.if she has had it pierced with a bar then she could just get different gems etc to put on the top.try places like warren james for body jewellery.or markets etc,i always use an antiseptic on the jewellery before using it just to be sure.

I am indeed running out of places to get tattooed......and im just not sure on where i want piercings. I love them on other ppl, i dunno if they are 'me' or not, funnily enough thats something ive never thought about with tattoos though!

I am determined in the new year to lose a ton of weight (quite literally!), then i will have more places to get tattooed......if/when i get nice n skinny, i want something MASSIVE going from my right shoulderblade round, under my arm, over my ribs and round my stomach, and possibly going down my right thigh......however i do need to minimise quite a lot of me before i can do that.! I also want to repeat the celtic design of two triangles, one upside down on top of the other, that is on my left ankle (on the front of the joint/top of foot) on my right one......but i can STILL remember how much that one hurt!

Then of course there is my right forearm to finish, thats gonna be lots of massive flowers and tribal stuff, currently it has a purple rose and a red rose (both about4 inches across), and a celtic band on my wrist.

Hahaha, when i got my first tattoo, i said id only get ONE! 16 tattoos later, im still wanting more! Ooops.
