Can anyone tell me why my 16 week old puppy trots off to get his fluffy duck and brings it over to me when I tell him off (I say NO in my deepest voice lol).  It is something I should worry about?  He never does it when his dad says NO.  Grateful for any thoughts.

Aww lol isn't that sweet!! :D
Our's does similar but she puts her ears back and leans her head on your lap, i think it's a kind of 'Sorry' and a good thing they do of it too!!   Puppy dog eyes roflmao :)

Does yours leave a slick of dog slobber aswell when she does it? :D :D

lol Chloe actually Dolly isn't really bad with the old slobber, what she does do which looks rude is .........
She sticks her head in your groin and rubs her eyes!!! Not too bad when it's just me but when she attempts it on other people it takes some explaining roflmao "It's ok she just likes to rub on you"!! :D :D

It was a 'thing' she did trying to get the halti off but she must like it so she still does it ;)

Are we talking about a gundog breed??  I'd suspect he believes it's an appeasment to you - some dogs roll over, some submissive wee - he brings you a toy, I expect at some stage he's been rewarded for it (perhaps only by you laughing or stopping being cross)...  I would't worry about - but turn it into a training experience ;)

Mine isn't a gundog beed digger she is 'apparently' a working dog (As if!)
As for appeasment, round here it's called creeping lol ;)

Hi Digger, yes, he is a cocker spaniel and yes, I have been trying to get him to fetch his toys and 'give' them to me.  Thanks :)

Yes, he probably understands that for some reason you are cross, so he wants to have some good times with you for that reason, and so offers a bit of a game of fetch and give :)
